      Vredesactie closes down the Ministry of Defence.

        Belgium is at war. The country is involved in several military operations worldwide.

        The Belgian minister of Defence has dragged us into the war in Afghanistan and wants to engage the army more actively in military operations worldwide.That's why the peace movement Vredesactie has closed down the Ministry of Defence today. The activists are demanding that the Belgian government puts an end to the military presence in Afghanistan.

        Succesfull disarment of Swedish weapons! (action report)

          In the beginning of autumn the anti-militaristic network Ofog launched a new campaign - "Disarm" - with a view to disseminate information about the Swedish arms exports, influence politicians and the general opinion and to concretely disarm Swedish weapons through peaceful direct action.

            Swedes disarm US-bound weapons

              25 Carl Gustaf antitank launchers and other armaments were damaged Thursday as Swedish peace activists broke into plants belonging to BAE Systems and Saab in Sweden. In two simultaneous non-violent actions, four activists hammered on arms bound for export to among others the US, UK and India.

                Friday, 19th of September was the day of action at EPA. The plan was to do an action together as EPA, people were welcome to join small groups or to join the general action organised by EPA.  The day before saw trainings for preparation for action and also a lot of work preparing banners for the action.
